The Dumpling Company is a developed chain and brand that produces high quality frozen products. With the continuous improvement of people's living standards, the demand for healthy and nutritious food is growing, and the market demand for frozen food is prominent. In order to let the local consumers in New Zealand eat authentic Chinese dumplings, couple Glen Zhu and Jane Mei established The Dumpling Company after developing fresh healthy flash-frozen dumplings. In October 2016, they founded a new brand of frozen dumplings chain stores that quickly developed, to cater for the main brand, while separate factories worked as the centre of production to both brands of dumplings.
Our stores are located all across Wellington, from Kaiwharawhara to Wills and now the newest store of The Terrace. Our dumplings are made by heart in our factory at Kaiwharawhara and freshly cooked in all stores to order everyday. We aim to innovate new ways authentic dumplings are both made and sold in New Zealand, by integrating dumplings into a fast paced environment, we hope to spread both this delicious dish and the Chinese culture to the wider population of Wellington, and eventually all of New Zealand.
