About The Dumpling Company

More than dumplings. More than one cuisine. Just really good food.

Established in Wellington in 2016, The Dumpling Company started with a simple love for handmade dumplings and a desire to bring something a little different to the local food scene.

What began with our signature dumplings has grown into a vibrant Asian inspired restaurant where traditional flavours meet modern creativity. From Chinese classics and Sichuan inspired dishes to Korean BBQ, hot pot, Malaysian favourites, yum cha, noodles, rice dishes, milk tea and indulgent desserts, there’s always something new to discover.

We believe great food is about bringing people together. That’s why we make our dumplings with carefully selected ingredients, take inspiration from flavours across Asia, and aren’t afraid to experiment with new combinations. Some dishes stay close to tradition, while others are created with a little more imagination always with the same focus on flavour, quality and a whole lot of heart.
